Blippar acquired AR pioneer Layar
London / NYC-based Blippar, the world’s leading augmented reality and image recognition app, acquired the Netherlands-based Layar. Layar is a key pioneer in bringing augmented reality (AR) to mobile devices since 2009. Through this acquisition Blippar now has the largest data footprint for consumer AR globally.
