We have a deep appreciation for growth drivers and industry trends as well as a significant amount of structured financing experience. The application of our experience can occur in a variety of different contexts:
- growth financing, whether the borrower is an existing corporate or an acquisition newco backed by private equity
- the replacement of equity by debt in leveraged re-capitalisations
- the replacement of debt by equity
- the replacement of maturing or onerous debt by new debt/debt and equity
We maintain close and active relationships with a range of financial institutions, including traditional senior lending banks, non-traditional senior lenders, mezzanine and other junior lenders and equity investors with a variety of business models (minority and majority).
Frequently our work in this area will be combined with M&A or other advice. Our ability to understand the “art of the possible” in financing terms puts us in a position to provide thoughtful, balanced advice on feasibility and cost ahead of an actual exercise and hence to help our clients direct their energies effectively.
